Aeration is critical in all systems where there is aquatic life.
The main point of aeration in farming systems (be it fish or shrimp) is how much area the surface of each bubble produced has. The smaller they are, the more contact area they have with the water, and it is in this scenario that the exchange of oxygen takes place in the tank or other medium. To enhance this scenario, the system needs to create microbubbles. Large bubbles are eliminated quickly and have a low rate of embedding , which makes much of the work done by the radial compressor, aerator or blower with low efficiency.
