Keep the water quality of your tank with the pH meter, which evaluates the acidity or alkalinity of water in the range of 6.2 to 7.5. This control is critical to fish health and to make their production more effective, avoiding unnecessary risks and stresses.
⚠️ Why measure the pH?
The pH indicates the balance between hydrogen (H+) ions and hydroxide ions (OH-) in water, reflecting whether it is acidic, neutral or alkaline.
pH = 7 is neutral
pH <7 indicates acidity
pH> 7 indicates alkalinity
For most freshwater fish, the ideal pH is between 6.8 and 7.2, and may vary according to the species. Consult an expert to define the ideal pH for your creation.
📋 Indication of use:
Use weekly or whenever fish have unusual behaviors
Measure before and after partial shifts of water to avoid sudden changes
In case of pH out of expected, seek technical support
📌 Mode of use:
Fill the beaker to the brand with water from the tank.
Dip 3 drops of reagent solution, cover and shake.
Wait 2 minutes and compare the color of the water with the color scale of the packaging.
For better reading, position the beaker against the corresponding color and note over, preferably in natural light.
Important Important Care:
Wash the proven immediately after use to avoid contamination of the next tests
Keep the reagent bottle always tightly closed to keep the quality
Avoid using together with products that change the color of the water, as they can interfere with reading
⚙️ pH correction:
To correct acidity or alkalinity, use the appropriate concealers. Extreme changes can be caused by elements present in the tank, such as gravel or roots, and sometimes monitoring should be accompanied by other measures.
